This project involved the design of a 4,900 sq.ft. five-bedroom holiday home set close to the banks of the River Ganga in Basi. Drawing inspiration from Mediterranean architecture, the house features lime-plastered walls, exposed limestone textures, and sloping roofs finished with Spanish tiles.

The design responds to the site’s macroclimate, with a central courtyard planned to optimize natural light and ventilation throughout the house. Large windows towards the river take advantage of the prevailing breeze while framing views of the surrounding landscape. The architecture combines a warm, material-driven character with climate-responsive planning, creating a relaxed holiday home closely connected to its natural setting.
