This project involved the design of a 3,090 sq.ft. four-bedroom villa in Mangalore, envisioned as a Tropical Modern home that responds to its local context and climate. The design integrates locally available materials with tropical planting, creating a seamless connection between the built and natural environment. Exterior courtyards and garden spaces are woven into the layout, allowing views of greenery from the living and dining areas while bringing in natural light and ventilation.

The bedrooms are planned as more private zones, in response to the clients’ requirements, while the common spaces remain open and connected to the landscape. Simple material choices, tropical vegetation, and climate-responsive planning come together to create a contemporary home rooted in its surroundings.
